Esong Beauty (伊颂美容) publishes the design standards and healing course of brow, eyeliner and lip permanent makeup, with sourced numbers.
Who does this
Twelve years of brow, eyeliner and lip permanent makeup in Korea. Chinese national vocational certifications obtained in 2017: PMU artist (advanced) and PMU instructor (advanced).
The current work is tracing the design standards used in practice back to papers and training material. This site is the result.
What we cover
Permanent makeup (PMU) places pigment in the upper layers of the skin, where it softens gradually over a few years. We cover three areas: brows (hair stroke, ombré, combo), eyeliner (basic, accent tail) and lips (lip blush, full lip).
We don't copy whatever shape is trending. Our writing follows one principle: read facial proportion, muscle flow, existing pigment and daily routine first, then design a line that suits the person.
Where the numbers come from
Figures such as the brow asymmetry threshold (683 measured), the angle Korean women prefer (300 surveyed) and complication rates (1,352 surveyed) come from papers and are cited with their PMID. Figures from PMU training material rather than papers, such as the healing course, are labelled as such.
We don't use outcome promises like 'no side effects' or '100% symmetry'. Content here is for information only, not a diagnosis or a guarantee of results.
Principles for a session
About 90 minutes including numbing, in four stages: consultation, design, procedure, aftercare notes.
Shape and colour are confirmed twice at the mirror, and nothing starts on a design that hasn't been agreed. Results are judged after 4 weeks, once colour has come back.
